#1 - The Bombers
Theo Baca & RJ Strange (Cincinnati, Ohio)
2007 World Champions
2008 World Champions
2008 Downtown Throwdown - Baca, 1st Place
Theo Baca and RJ Strange are a seasoned tournament team. Few teams can perform under pressure like The Bombers. In 2008, Theo Baca showed his ability as a singles players by taking first place in the Downtown Throwdown the night before the World Championship.

#2 - The Filling Station
Heath Colburn & Brad Wilburn (Frankfort, Ohio)
2006 World Champions
2008 Elite Eight

This brother duo from Ross county won the first ever World Championship of Cornhole. They made a run at it again in 2008 until they ran into the Bombers in the round of eight.

#3 - Pair of Shorts
Delbert and Sean Short (Hillsboro, Ohio)
2008 Runner Ups

Uncle and nephew make up this team from Hillsboro, Ohio. In 2008, they took the Bombers down to the wire in the championship match. They are new to the World Championship but they are a tough team and they have a good shot at winning the championship in 2009.

#4 - Git-r-Done
Merle Garrison & Partner(Chillicothe, Ohio)
2006 Runner Ups
2008 Elite Eight

Merle Garrison is a great cornhole player and he has teamed up with some other great players in the past to make a run at the title. In 2006 Git-r-Done had a sizeable lead on The Filling Station in the final match but let it slip away.

#5 - Pittsburgh Steelers
Bernie George & Rick Tyburski (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)
2007 Elite Eight
2008 Final Four

These two buddies from Pittsburgh are great competitors and if they continue their trend of improvement, they'll be in the championship match in 2009. Keep an eye on these boys.

#6 - Logos
Randy Atha & Chu Farfsing (Cincinnati, Ohio)
2007 Runner Ups
In 2007, Randy Atha and Chu Farfsing took The Bombers to the final points in the championship matchup. Sadly, Chu passed away in 2008. The Logos won't be back in action ever again but they put one heck of a show in 2007.

#7 - B&B Shooters
Bill Sobleskie & Bill Sobleskie Jr. (Akron, Ohio)
2008 Final Four
2008 Downtown Throwdown - Sobleskie Sr., 2nd Place

This father son team from Akron are hardcore cornholers. They made their first appearance at the World Championship in 2008 and made it to the money rounds. The night before, Bill Sr. finished second behind Theo Baca in the Downtown Throwdown.

#8 - The Couch Potatoes
Shawn & Michael Richardson (South Webster, Ohio)
2007 Final Four
2008 Sweet Sixteen
This father son team from South Webster, Ohio, was the cinderalla story of the 2007 tournament. They didn't see quite as much success in 2008 but they will surely be back in 2009 and hungry for a shot at the title.

#9 - Go Blue
Randy Earwood and Michael Dickerson (Portsmouth, Ohio)
2007 Final Four
Earwood and Dickerson came out of nowhere in 2007 to make it to the money rounds. We haven't seen them since but if we do, they could be one of the top teams again.

#10 - Steel City Connection
Russel Swim & Julie George (Portsmouth, Ohio, & Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)
2006 Final Four (Swim)
2008 Elite Eight
Both Swim and George needed a partner in 2008 so they teamd up for the Steel City Connection. Swim and his former teammate made it to the final four back in 2006 and he almost made it again in 2008 with the help of Julie George, the first ever female cornholer to reach the elight eight. If these two stick together, they could be a force to be reckoned with.
